My favorite coffee shop in Seoul

For the past several months I’ve been regularly going to Caffe Bene for reading, writing, coffee and general relaxation. Cafe Bene is one of about 10 major coffee chains in Korea and I prefer it because of the atmosphere, the many electrical outlets, free wifi and that the coffee is much better than the other chains including Starbucks.

I also recently got an ultra wide lens (10-24mm) for my camera and can now take some good interior shots of the cafe. Hope you enjoy.

I always sit near the door to get a little natural light for reading

facing in, standing next to my table – yes that’s an IV bottle. There’s a hospital nearby and patients go for walks wearing pajamas to smoke cigarettes and get a coffee
from the door to the bathroom facing the entrance. You can see the IV bottle again and the patient wearing white with the hoodie
opposite angle from the bathroom door. There’s more around the corner to the left but I didn’t take a shot that way. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the camera shake while I was at the coffee shop so that’s why this shot is a little blurry. Even so you can get an idea of the atmosphere.

Sean,
The photos look great. You really captured the feeling of the place. It actually is a kind of cozy environment for a chain shop. I am grateful to you for introducing it among other things. Great place to write. And procrastinate. grin

Shelley,

Hmmm I just saw your comment now and am not sure why I didn’t get an email about it. Sorry for the late reply. Hope to see you there on Sunday.

Looks nice man. Except for the “baby font” on the title, which just annoys me, it looks like some place I could chill for a while.
