Hat tip to my friend Doug via Facebook for the link on this one. Ottawa-Gatineau most livable community in Canada, says MoneySense magazine This definitely makes me feel good about my choice to live in a city I’ve never been too. Only 2 months until my 1 week visit this July.

The Toronto-based personal finance publication says its study of 179 Canadian cities of more than 10,000 people ranks the country’s capital and its nearby suburb top on the list for livability.

household incomes, housing prices, jobs and local health and social services factored into the evaluation, Sarah Efron, the magazine’s managing editor, said in an interview Thursday.

Ya, I saw that too. I don’t really understand how they arrived at that assessment, but hey, people look for different things vis a vis liveability.
